FRISCO, Texas – With the regular season wrapping up Saturday, Southeastern's Audrey Greely and Lamar's Aaliyah Ruiz are the winners of the Southland Conference Softball Player of the Week awards for the final week of the 2023 season, which were announced Sunday by the conference office.

The all-conference teams and award winners will be announced Monday afternoon ahead of the the 2023 Southland Conference Softball Championship starting on Tuesday at McNeese's Cowgirl Diamond in Lake Charles, La.

Hitter of the Week: Audrey Greely, Southeastern - So. - DP/OF - Geismar, La. (Parkview Baptist HS)
Greely drove in runs in each of Southeastern's three wins over Northwestern State to close the regular season. The junior hit .500 and posted a team-high three RBI, as SLU closed out the regular season with single-season school records for overall wins (44) and conference wins (19).

Pitcher of the Week: Aaliyah Ruiz, Lamar - Gr. - RHP - Beeville, Texas (A.C. Jones HS)
Ruiz went 3-0 for her second straight Pitcher of the Week win with a series sweep of Texas A&M-Commerce with a 0.46 ERA in 15 innings. She struck out 14 batters including seven in an opening game 7-0 victory, one in 1.0 inning of relief in LU's 6-4 victory, and six in LU's 2-1 game three victory. Ruiz has won her last eight outings.
