FRISCO, Texas – Cameron Chin & Elijah Jackson of Lamar earned the Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week awards as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Chin collects his second Track Athlete of the Week honor of this season while Jackson becomes the first Field Athlete to represent the Cardinals this season.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Cameron Chin, Lamar – Sprints - So. – Baytown, Texas.
Chin posted a 200m time of 20.87 at the 44 Farms Invitational. That time was the 4th best mark in Lamar program history and also brought him into the top 25 spot of the NCAA West Regional rankings.
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Elijah Jackson, Lamar – Jumps - So. – Austin, Texas
Jackson earned silver in the high-jump at the 44 Farms Invitational where he posted a season-best mark of 2.05m (6’8.75”).
