FRISCO, Texas — Southeastern's Maria Detillier and Lamar's Madison Guidry have been named this week's Jersey Mike's SLC Softball Players of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Softball Hitter of the Week: Maria Detillier, Southeastren – Jr. – INF – Gramercy, La. (Lutcher High School)
Detillier led Southeastern with a .615 batting average in a 5-0 week. She had two hits apiece in wins over Maine, Iowa State, Army and Monmouth, while driving in a run in a 2-0 win over West Georgia. She contributed one of SLU's single-game school record five triples in the Lady Lions' 13-0 victory over Monmouth. Through the first month of the season, Detillier leads the team in doubles (six), triples (three) and RBI (19). 

Softball Pitcher of the Week: Madison Guidry – So. – LHP – La Porte, Texas (La Porte High School)
Madison went 3-1 last week posting a 2.78 ERA and struck out 13 batters. Her first win was relief appearance of 4.1 innings in which she allowed three hits and 0 runs as the Cardinals came back to beat Sam Houston State. Guidry recorded two complete game wins against Louisiana Tech at the Southern Miss Black and Gold Challenge.  She set a season-high with seven strikeouts in the first victory while picking up four in the second win. Guidry is currently seventh in ERA (2.69) and is tied for first with five wins this season.
