UIW's Aliyah Collins garners SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolade
FRISCO, Texas – UIW's Aliyah Collins has won this week's SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Player of the Week: Aliyah Collins, UIW – So. – College Statiom, TX (College Station High School)
Collins had a season-high 17 points and six assists against TCU last Wednesday. She played 38 minutes for the Cardinals, as an integral part of the team that held an eight-point lead in the first quarter, and only lost to the Horned Frogs by six points. Against UTRGV on Sunday, she was part of a balanced scoring offense with nine points and three steals. Collins was perfect from the Free Throw line this week going 10-10 and totaling seven assists and five steals.
