Mary Delgado of Texas A&M-Commerce snags SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolade
FRISCO, Texas – Texas A&M-Commerce's Mary Delgado has won this week's SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. This is the second straight week a member of the Lions has won this award, after Mia Deck garnered the accolade seven days ago.
Player of the Week: Mary Delgado, Texas A&M-Commerce – Sr. – Miami, Fla. (Miami Northwestern High School)
Delgado recorded a double-double in both games last week. She scored 13 points and corralled 10 rebounds in the win over Southern Utah, who were last season's WAC Tournament Champions and went to the NCAA Tournament. She also totaled 14 points and 10 rebounds in the defeat against Houston. Delgado ranks second in the SLC in both total points, with 122, and average points, with 13.6 points per game.
