FRISCO, Texas — Nicholls' Tanita Swift has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.  

Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Tanita Swift, Nicholls – Jr. – G – Birmingham, Ala. (Center Pointe HS) 

Swift hit seven of nine field goals and shot 8-11 from the charity stripe to pour in a game-high 22 points in the Colonels 76-61 win over Grambling. The junior from Birmingham, Alabama, shot 78 percent from the field, tallied three rebounds and one assist.
