Southeastern, SFA, Lamar All Remain Nationally Ranked Despite Reshuffling

FRISCO – In a week that saw some reshuffling, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, and Lamar all remained ranked in both the AFCA and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 polls following ten weeks of play.

Southeastern climbed to its highest ranking of the season, checking in at No. 14 in the AFCA poll and No. 19 in Stats Perform. The Lions delivered one of their most dominant performances of the year, rolling past East Texas A&M, 59-14, behind a 35-point first half.

Lamar slipped to No. 18 in the AFCA poll and No. 20 in Stats Perform after suffering its first FCS loss of the season, a 24-17 setback at UIW. The Cardinals now turn their attention to a pivotal home showdown with Southeastern on Saturday in Beaumont—a matchup carrying major conference title and playoff implications.

Stephen F. Austin also held firm, taking care of business at home with a 41-17 win over upstart UTRGV, fueled by a strong defensive effort. The Jacks hit the road this week to face HCU in Houston. Despite the loss, UTRGV continues to receive votes in the AFCA poll.
