FRISCO, Texas — SFA forward Cha Gardner has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Cha Gardner– So. – F – Newark Valley, NY
Gardner recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the first time in her career against Hampton and Longwood in the Puerto Rico Classico. Against the Pirates, she set a new career high with 16 rebounds and added 14 points, then against the Lancers, she recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Overall, Cha averaged 12.5 points per game, 13.0 rebounds per game, and 1.5 blocks per game.
