FRISCO, Texas — New Orleans' Nora Francois has earned Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday. This is her third honor of the season.

Francois finished with a flourish as the Privateers won back-to-back games against UTRGV and McNeese on the road to close their season. The senior center averaged 18.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in the last three contests which also included a road game against A&M-Corpus Christi. In the 90-76 loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, she scored a double-double with 11 rebounds adn 16 points. Against McNeese, Francois scored 24 points and made 13 free throws. The free throw total was tied for the fifth highest in a single game in program history.
