FRISCO, Texas — Lamar junior guard Rob Lee Jr. has been named this week's Southland Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Lee is a first-time winner of the award.

Rob Lee Jr. became the first Cardinal in three seasons to hit the 30-point plateau when he scored a career-high 31 points in a win over Houston Christian. He led a second-half charge, scoring 24 of his 31 in the second half. Lee also tied a career high with seven rebounds against the Huskies. He followed that up with a 20-point outing in the win at Nicholls. He averaged 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game over the Cardinals' last two wins.
