FRISCO, Texas — Nicholls Marie Kenembeni has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.

Kenembeni had a week where she averaged 20.5 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 75 percent (15-20) from the field in the Colonels' two rivalry wins. She missed just one shot (8-9) against New Orleans, finishing with 20 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. She then nearly had a double-double with 21 points and nine boards at Southeastern as the Colonels snapped a 10-game losing streak in the all-time series. She made both of her 3-point attempts, shot 9-12 from the charity stripe and added two assists and a steal.
