FRISCO, Texas — Lamar's Nathan Woodham and UIW's Victoria Bauer have earned this week's Southland Golfer of the Week awards, the conference office announced Thursday. Both golfers are first-time winners.
Men’s Golfer of the Week: Nathan Woodham, Lamar – Sr. – Camberley, Surrey, England (Salesian College)
Woodham shot a total score of 206 (69-68-69) to finished tied for first place at the Argent Financial Classic. He posted three rounds under par while making 16 birdies, an eagle and 30 pars. During the final round, Woodham made seven birdies to become the first Cardinal to win or share a tournament title since 2023. He currently leads the Cardinals with a 70.5 scoring average and six rounds of par or better through nine rounds of competition.
Women’s Golfer of the Month: Victoria Bauer, UIW – Jr. – Klagenfurt, Austria (Ingeborg Bachmann Gymsium)
Bauer led the Cardinals at the Powercat Classic, tying for 13th with a 224 (+8), the third-best overall score in her collegiate career. Bauer started the Power 4 tournament with her best round, carding a one-over 73 Monday, before following with rounds of 74 and 77.
