FRISCO, Texas — East Texas A&M's Reza Po has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Reza Po, East Texas A&M - Guard
Po guided the Lions to their first 2-0 week in conference play this year, averaging 28.5 points per game in the wins at home over Nicholls and New Orleans. She scored 33 against the Privateers last Thursday, which is the most scored by a player in the Southland this season and also the most by a Lion since 2020. She followed up that performance with 24 against Nicholls on Saturday in a game in which the Lions came back from being down 13 to take the win. She also averaged 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists on the weekend.
