FRISCO – Southeastern second baseman Ben Robichaux and Northwestern State pitcher Dylan Marionneaux picked up the Southland Baseball Player of the Week awards for the ninth week of the 2026 season, which were announced Monday by the conference office.

Hitter of the Week: Ben Robichaux, Southeastern - Sr. - 2B - Plaquemine, La. (Catholic HS)
After a quiet week at the plate, Ben Robichaux responded in a big way, powering his offense with a breakout performance across five games. He hit .429 (9-for-21) on the week with three home runs and two doubles, with five of his nine hits going for extra bases. Robichaux slugged .857 and posted a 1.357 OPS, driving in six runs while scoring a team-high seven runs. He reached base at a .500 clip and delivered in key moments, helping lead his team to a 4-1 record on the week, including a series win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. His bounce-back week was highlighted by a three-hit, two-RBI performance in a midweek win and a home run in the series finale, showcasing both consistency and impact at the top of the lineup.

Pitcher of the Week: Dylan Marionneaux, Northwestern State - Jr. - RHP - Zachary, La. (Zachary HS)
Dylan Marionneaux turned in another dominant outing this season, tossing his second complete game of the year in a 2-1 win over Houston Christian. The right-hander worked all nine innings, allowing just six hits and one unearned run while issuing no walks and striking out a career-high 11. Marionneaux was in complete control from the start, retiring the first seven batters he faced and never allowing HCU to generate sustained offense. He did not allow a runner past first base over the final six innings, locking in during a one-run game and shutting the door with authority. His command and efficiency were on full display, as he dominated the strike zone and held opponents to a .188 batting average, delivering a true ace performance to secure the series victory.
