CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — No. 1 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 2 Southeastern advanced to the winner’s bracket semifinal in the first day of action at the 2026 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships at Waters Edge Park in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Wednesday.
The winner’s bracket semifinal match is set for Thursday, April 22, at 1 p.m. CT. Winner will compete in the championship match on Friday, while the loser will have to win an additional match in the consolation bracket to earn a spot in the championship.
Action continues Thursday at 9 a.m. with all seven teams still in contention for the conference title and automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament. No. 6 SFA and No. 7 Nicholls will open matches on day 2 in an elimination match, followed by No. 5 New Orleans and No. 3 McNeese at 11 a.m. No. 4 HCU will play the winner of the 9 a.m. match between SFA and Nicholls, also at 11 a.m.
Top-seeded Texas A&M-Corpus Christi swept No. 4 HCU to earn its spot in the winner’s bracket semifinal, while Southeastern swept both Nicholls and McNeese, 3-0, to move ahead.
