FRISCO, Texas — SFA senior guard Keon Thompson has been named this week's Southland Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Thompson earns the award for the second time this season.

Thompson led SFA to a pair of wins including a 73-60 victory in their Southland opener against UTRGV. He shot 55% from the floor in the 'Jacks last two contests and averaged 17.0 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game. Thompson scored 25 points in a home win over ULM on 64% shooting Sunday afternoon.
