Augusta Wins Third Straight Southland Men's Golf Championship

KERRVILLE — Another exceptional round at Comance Trace Golf Glub fueled Augusta to victory at Southland Conference Championship Wednesday afternoon. The Jaguars tallied a three-round score of 843 for a total of 21 under par.

This is Augusta's third straight Southland championship as they clinch the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship.

Low Medalist Bo Blanchard lifted the Jaguars in their tournament excellence, posting a three-day score of 200 (-16). Teammate Pieter Roussow added a top five finish, placing fourth with a score of 209 (-7).

UIW claimed second with a final score of 852 (-12)  in second place. The Cardinals' 274 (-14) second round set them up for a pursuit of Augusta on Day 3, moving within a stroke on the front nine. But a strong close on part of the Jaguars fended off the UIW rally.

Ken Marten-Soo compiled the strongest showing for the Cardinals, shooting 204 (-12) through three rounds to finish second in the individual overall.

UTRGV finished third at 862 (-2), shooting -15 under through the final two rounds to secure their placement. Taj Sutherland highlighted their campaign with a score of 208 (-8). Lamar took fourth at 864 (E) and East Texas A&M rounded out the top five 877 (+13).
