No. 1 Boise State, No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi set for Southland Beach Volleyball Semifinals

New Orleans — No. 1 Boise State and No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi advanced to the winner’s bracket semifinal in the first day of action at the 2025 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships at Privateer Beach on Wednesday.

Action continues at 9 a.m. with eight of nine teams still in contention for the conference title and automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament. No. 4 SFA and No. 8 New Orleans will open action on day 2 in an elimination match, followed by No. 7 McNeese and No. 3 San Jose State at 10:15 a.m.

No. 6 Southeastern will play the winner of the 9 a.m. match and No. 5 HCU will play the winner of the 10:15 a.m. match.

The winner’s bracket semifinal match is set for Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m. CT. Winner will compete in the championship match on Friday, while the loser will have to win an additional match in the consolation bracket to earn a spot in the championship.

Top-seeded Boise State remains undefeated in conference play after day one of the SLC championship. The Broncos went 3-0 against No. 8 New Orleans and went on to sweep No. 5 HCU in their second match of the day.

No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will meet  Boise State in the semifinals tomorrow. The Islanders swept both No. 7 McNeese and No. 6 Southeastern to earn their spot in the semis.
