INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.. – Making its first NCAA Tournament appearance, the Boise State beach volleyball team earned the highest NCAA tournament seed in the sports' history as a No. 14 seed and will face No. 3 Stanford in the opening round match Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m. CT. in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The winner will go on to face the winner of No. 11 LSU/No. 6 Cal Poly on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT, streamed nationally on ESPNU.
The Broncos (23-11, 8-0 SLC) earned an automatic bid to the Big Dance after winning the Southland Conference Tournament. It will be their first NCAA appearance ever, with the highest seed the Southland Conference has received in the Tournament.
2025 Newcomer of the Year Allyson Alden and her partner Sharli O'Neil earned first-team all-conference at the twos position. The pair finished the year with a 19-9 record, winning three duals over ranked opponents; No. 7 Arizona, No. 11 Arizona State and No. 18 Grand Canyon. They are the only pair this season who claimed SLC pair of the week multiple times.
Head Coach Allison Voigt is the Southland Coach of the Year after leading the Broncos to it's first Southland regular-season title. Boise State went 19-10 in the regular season and went 8-0 in Southland Conference action.
