THIBODAUX, La. – No. 1 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will meet No. 2 SFA in the 2025 Southland Men's Tennis Championship Match after a pair of absolute semifinal thrillers on Thursday evening at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex.

Match 8 – (1) Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 4, (4) NJIT 3
In perhaps the match of the tournament, top-seeded Texas A&M-Corpus Christi survived a brilliant effort by No. 4 NJIT. The Highlanders came out hot and dominated to the doubles point. Yana Mykytyn got the Islanders on the board at Court 3 with a 6-4, 6-2 win, while Leticia Tarocco gave A&M-Corpus Christi the lead with a 6-1, 6-3 in at Court 1. Juliette Jalai made it 3-1 Islanders with a 6-4, 6-3 win at Court 6.

However, NJIT rallied back with a Arina Babkova win at Court 5, 6-3, 7-6 (7) and Paula Menendez Alvarez came-from-behind to win Court 2 with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 win. It came down to Court 4, where Kseniya Ramanouskaya held off Irene Cocero for a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win to clinch the match.

Match 9 – (2) SFA 4, (3) Northwestern State 3
Not to be outdone, the second-seeded Lumberjacks of SFA outdueled rival and third-seeded Northwestern State, 4-3. After a dominant performance earned SFA the doubles point, Ayu Ishibashi of Northwestern State got the Demons on the board with a 6-2, 6-3 win at Court 5. Jemma Cave and Sonja Rooth responded with wins at Court 3 (6-4, 6-3) and Court 4 (6-3, 6-2) to take a 3-1 lead.

But the Demons roared back, taking wins by Sofi Garcia at Court 6 (6-4, 6-2) and Tjasa Klevisar at Court 1 (7-5, 6-3), bringing the focus to Court 2. After dropping the first set, 6-2, Ksenia Mamontova rallied to take the next two sets, 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the match for the Jacks for the second straight contest.
